My research interests are in the application of privacy preserving cryptographic primitives (e.g. Zero Knowledge Proofs, Secure Multi Party Computation)
to solve real world security and privacy problems.
I have received my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University, with my thesis topic being: "Privacy Enhancing Techniques for Digital Identity Management". My research has been supported by a Bisland Dissertation Fellowship from Purdue Graduate School, the Emil Stefanov Memorial
Fellowship, an IBM PhD Fellowship, and a Summer Research Grant from Purdue Graduate School.
I have served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineering courses. My contributions as a GTA have been recognized by the Raymond Boyce Graduate Teacher award by Purdue Computer Science Department.
I have been an intern in the Information Security team at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and in the Infrastructure Security team at Salesforce Inc. Prior to joining the grad school, I have been a Software Engineer in the Security and Identity Management team at WSO2 Inc., where my contributions have been recognized by the Outstanding Contributors' awards by the founders.
I grew up in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. I enjoy reading, swimming and learning to play piano.
